Health and safety

After this we looked at different shot types and advised not to manually zoom during filming as it doesn’t look good in the finishing product. When we need to save our work, we need to transfer our footage onto a hard drive as this was the only way we wouldn’t lose our work.
We were warned about the responsibilities we have with the camera’s and if anything is lost or stolen we would be held responsible. When borrowing equipment it is also important to give it back on time as others may need access to it.
Health and Safety
In our health and safety tutorial we were getting familliar with some of the equipments that we will be using. We were shown how to insert a memory card and a battery into a camera and how to work it, also we were shown how to set up a tripod and how to place the camera on it safely and securely. With the camera we looked at different type of shots and what shots worked effectively and what didnt also how to work it manualy while zooming if needed. We were also introduced to our hard drive where we were told to store every peice of our work as the computers get wiped everynight and any work saved on the computer will be gone.
There were some key information that were told such as not leaving the camera out in the rain as it will damage it, never leave any of the equipments around as they might get stolen, use the equipments safely and take care of it, check the equipments before taking them out and returning them on time.

You Got Served Opening
Looking at the opening of You Got Served we see how it follows the conventions of film openings. These are the screen grabs of the company logo Screen Gems shown at the beginning and the title of the film You Got Served coming in at 15 seconds.

The music in the opening of You Got Served is quite upbeat also, the sense of the pace in the opening is fast and sets a lively mood. As you can see the setting of the opening is in a place like a battle arena and the music and crowd cheering is the combination of non diegetic and diegetic sound.
Here are some screen grabs mentioning the casts and producers.

Genre & Sub-genre
There are a wide variety of different Thrillers that work with many different genres’s making a film with a sub-genre.
Firstly Thriller itself is a genre of film which is too create suspense, tension and excitement all to make the audience be on the edge of their seat, to make the audience want to see more. Thrillers are good at working with the audiences moods and can change the audiences emotions in order to make that sudden surprise even more unexpected!
The Thriller genre is unique because it doesn’t constrict a film to have a basic outline or principle which means it can very easily fit in with almost all of the other genres. This also means they can have many sub genres. Sub genres is another genre mixed into the main genre and almost every film has them.
Here are some Examples:
