- Title of the film, not right at the beginning but about one minute in.
- Sense of the pace of the film
- Director and casts names.
- Music; often sets the mood and tone
- Institutional logo for production
- Location & setting
- Diegetic and non diegetic
- Establishing shot
- Long shot
- Close shot
classic opening includes an establishing shot of the city scape. Then we are introduced to the building from a high angle shot. We see a long shot of the window and close ups into the room where we meet the characters.
