Conventions of film opening

-Title of the film
-Sense of pace of the movie
-Director/Cast
-Music as it sets the mood and the tone
-Institutional identity/logos for distribution and production company
-Setting/Location
-Meet the characters -protagonists
-Non diegetic and diegetic sound combination

We looked at the opening scene of 'Physco' and identified that it is a classic opening.
A classic opening includes an establishing shot of the city scape. Then we are introduced to a building from a high angle shot. We see a long shot of the window and close ups into the room where we meet the characters.
